Aboriginal Tenancy List starts 6 September 2023

NCAT is introducing an Aboriginal Tenancy List in the Consumer and Commercial Division. This List starts on Wednesday, 6 September 2023.

The key objective of the list is to encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parties to get more involved with the Tribunal process. This List will also make it easier for them to access support and advocacy services.

The Aboriginal Tenancy List will:

• Allow for extra time for Tribunal Members to deal with matters
• Facilitate access to service providers including advocates and financial counsellors
• Provides access to conciliators to help you come to a solution that everybody agrees with during conciliation.
