Appointment of Michelle Brazel as NCAT’s Principal Registrar

Ms Michelle Brazel has been appointed as Executive Director and Principal Registrar of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) and started in the role on Tuesday, 4 October 2022.

Formerly the Director Strategy, Policy and Operations, Court Services within the Department of Communities and Justice, Courts and Tribunal Services Division, Ms Brazel’s experience includes the position of Senior Executive Officer to the Secretary, Department of Communities and Justice and working in both the Vanuatu and Solomon Islands Justice Programs, providing advice to the Regional Assistance Missions and to local and national governments on institutional strengthening and legal policy issues.

Ms Brazel was admitted as a solicitor in 2003 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations) and Bachelor of Laws.
