New security feature introduced for NCAT Online Services

Announcement - 28 November 2024

From Friday, 29 November 2024, a new security feature will be implemented for NCAT Online Services.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an additional layer of security to protect your personal information and case details from unauthorised access.

Initially users can opt out of setting up MFA, but it will become mandatory for all users in the coming months.  Frequent users of NCAT Online Services are encouraged to set up MFA as soon as possible.

How does MFA work?

As part of the login process, users need to confirm their identity through multiple steps:

  • Step 1: Users enter their NSW Online Registry username and password.
  • Step 2: Users enter a verification code sent by SMS or through the Google Authenticator App.

How do I set up MFA for my account?

Visit the NSW Online Registry website for user guides and frequently asked questions on setting up and managing Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) for your account.
