Public transport

Car parking

There are a number of parking stations located in the CBD. For more information visit the City of Sydney website.

Mobility parking

A drop-off zone is available for Mobility Parking Permit holders in the Goulburn Street Parking Station. The carpark is located on the corner of Goulburn and Elizabeth Street.

Permit holders may drop off passengers with mobility restrictions and drive out of the carpark without charge. Mobility bays available on the left-hand side of the entry to the carpark. Usual parking rates apply.

Mobility Parking Permit holders can park for certain periods of time in designated parking zones in the Sydney CBD. This applies to parking zones with meters or ticket machines. Free accessible parking is for the following periods of time:

An unlimited amount of time in parking zones of more than 30 minutes
Up to 2 hours in parking zones of 30 minutes
Up to 30 minutes in 5 minute parking zones

Security arrangements

The NSW Sheriff is responsible for security of courts and tribunals in New South Wales. Everyone who enters the John Maddison Tower building must go through an airport-like security check. Learn more about security at NCAT.

Liverpool Registry

Street parking is limited in the Liverpool City area. Nearby parking stations include:

Newcastle Registry

Parties can travel by train to Newcastle Interchange station and catch the light rail to Queens Wharf stop. The light rail stop is located outside the Registry entrance on Scott Street. Ferry service from Stockton is also available at the Ferry Terminal located in Wharf Road.

Metered street parking is available throughout the Newcastle City centre at various times. View the Newcastle city centre off-street parking map.

Disabled access is available from Scott Street and Thorn Street off the Hunter Street Mall. Disabled toilets are also available at the Registry.

Parramatta Registry

Located opposite the Department's Parramatta Justice Precinct, NCAT's Parramatta Registry is a 15 minute walk from Parramatta station.

There are a number of parking stations located in the Parramatta CBD. For more information visit the City of Parramatta website.

Disabled access and toilets are available within the venue.

Penrith Registry

Located directly opposite Penrith station and bus interchange. Entrance to the Registry is via Belmore Street (opposite traffic lights). No access is available from the building lift foyer.

Street parking is limited in the Penrith CBD. Nearby parking stations include:

The Penrith Government Offices building has full disabled access. Disabled toilets are located within the Penrith Registry hearing room foyer.

Tamworth Registry
